"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
"Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and God's love is made complete in us."
1 John 4:11-12
"Christ died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Christ who died for them and was raised again... the old has gone, the new is here!"
2 Corinthians 5:15-17
We value expressing our love and adoration to the Triune God revealed in the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit because we believe we were created to find our ultimate joy in this! Our sincere joy reveals the wonder and beauty of our Creator God to all. True worship happens when we are fully engaged in heart, mind and soul with God through honesty of heart and spirit.
We value relationships with people inside and outside of our church. We believe that God created us to be in holistic relationship with each other so we want to be a church where people can receive love, support, encouragement and prayer through our daily interactions. Our desire is to overcome the walls that separate us so that we can experience true and beloved community. You can read about our statement on diversity here.
We confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior through His life, death, and resurrection. Discipleship is about following the way of Christ with all that we are. We want our whole lives to be fully available for God and God's purposes here on earth. We are willing to have our priorities, perspectives, and actions changed through a miraculous change of heart by the Holy Spirit. We know that this inward transformation will lead to a transformation to the world around us.
We value Christ’s teaching to love our neighbor as ourselves. We want to demonstrate God’s love by reaching out to our neighboring communities through practical service, justice, compassion, and fellowship. God's love is generous and abundant and so, we want to in turn share the abundance we have received with our neighborhood, our city, and even the nations.
